Peter
Gillon –
Partner, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP
Peter is a longstanding leader in the
field of environmental law. He has more than
25 years of experience assisting companies
in addressing environmental risks, including
structuring transfers of liability through
insurance and other means. He advises
clients on SEC disclosure obligations,
including potential exposures to climate
change and climate change policy. He is a
member of the Advisory Board of the National
Brownfields Association and National
Practice Chair of the Insurance Recovery
Practice at
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman
LLP. He is also a
frequent lecturer on climate change risks
and the challenges faced by corporate
boards.

Peter
Gray –
Partner, McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP
Peter is chair of the environmental
practice at
McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP. He
has a broad-based environmental law
practice, representing clients in
proceedings before the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency and other federal and
state environmental regulatory agencies, as
well as federal and state courts. A frequent
writer and lecturer on environmental issues,
Peter is the author of numerous leading
environmental treatises, including the ABA's
Superfund Basic Practice Manual (2008) and
The Emergency Planning and Community
Right-to-Know Act Basic Practice Manual
(2002).

Mitch Jackson
– Staff Director of Environmental Affairs, FedEx
Mitch
Jackson develops the sustainability strategy and
vision to ensure that FedEx minimizes its
environmental footprint while still delivering
outstanding customer service.
FedEx provides
solutions that connect the world and give people the
access that allows businesses to prosper worldwide.
As one of the world’s largest transportation
companies, we understand that our operations have an
environmental impact. FedEx is committed to
environmental stewardship and the innovation of new
technologies to lessen that impact. As director of
Environmental Affairs and Sustainability, Jackson
also provides the environmental sustainability
perspective on larger projects and initiatives so
that FedEx keeps its eco-advantage.
Jackson spearheaded
the implementation of Hybrid vehicles for FedEx
which now has the largest commercial package
delivery fleet in North America. In conjunction with
the FedEx Government Affairs department, he was
instrumental in successfully pushing legislation for
fuel economy standards in commercial trucking.
With FedEx for more
than 20 years, Mitch was recently named to
Ethisphere Institute’s 2009 list of the 100 Most
Influential People in Business Ethics. He sits on
The Keystone Center’s national Energy Board and
serves on the American Trucking Association’s board
of directors. He has served as an environmental
juror for the Heinz Awards and is a past chairman of
the Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI)
Jackson received his
bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and his
master’s degree in Operations Management. He is also
a two-time recipient of FedEx’s prestigious Five
Star Award, the highest recognition bestowed by
FedEx.

Daniel
Kreeger
– Executive Director, Association of
Climate Change Officers
Daniel
Kreeger is co-founder and executive director of the
Association of Climate Change Officers, a
professional development society for executives in
the public and private sectors whose
responsibilities include developing and directing
climate change strategies. While leading the
association, Daniel has created a forum that enables
the exchange and enhancement of best practices,
industry standards, and innovation in the area of
climate change strategies. He has focused on
educating industry and government on the importance
of developing sound organizational structures and
change management programs, and establishing
incentives to encourage innovation and successful
response to climate change considerations.
Prior to co-founding
ACCO, Daniel worked on crisis and issues management
for companies in Florida focused on environmental
matters, founded an online communications
consultancy and worked in the Department of Defense
on military health system matters. He brings

Michael Mondshine – Vice President of
Climate Change Services, SAIC
Michael
Mondshine is responsible for business development
related to strategic risk management associated with
water, waste, energy and climate change. For the
last 16 years, he has been responsible for the
management and technical guidance of all climate
change policy and management consulting activities
at SAIC. He led a practice of 25 professionals that
provide emissions accounting, strategic planning,
project design and implementation, project
certification, metering, monitoring and
verification, and project reporting. His clients
include Chevron, OGE Energy, Marathon Oil,
Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Bank of
America, The Climate Registry, EPA Climate Leaders,
and the U.S. Department of Energy. Mr. Mondshine has
been named to the UNFCCC Roster of Experts on
greenhouse gas emissions inventory preparation and
baseline methods for JI and CDM projects. He was
recently recognized by the Intergovernmental Panel
on Climate Change for his contributions to their
receipt of the Nobel Peace Prize. Mr. Mondshine
holds a Masters in Public Policy from Georgetown
University.

Valerie Patrick
– Sustainability Coordinator, Bayer
Corporation
Dr. Valerie Patrick
is responsible for Bayer’s North American
sustainability strategy. Most recently, Dr. Patrick
led the Creative Center for Bayer MaterialScience
LLC which uses proven tools and a systematic
approach to manage the front end of innovation. Dr.
Patrick earned her Bachelor of Science, Master of
Science, and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (from
Bucknell University, CalTech, and CalTech
respectively).

Byron
Wright
– Vice President of Corporate
Development, El Paso Corporation
Byron Wright is vice president, Corporate
Development for El Paso Corporation. In his current
role, Wright is responsible for climate change,
strategy, corporate development, and enterprise risk
management. A 30-year industry veteran, Wright
began his El Paso career in 1985 with Tennessee Gas
and has held positions with increasing
responsibility in areas including planning,
commercial operations, rate and strategy.
Before joining Tennessee Gas in 1985, he held
various positions with Gulf Oil Exploration and
Production Company. Wright earned a Bachelor
of Arts degree in mathematics and economics from
Williams College and a Master of Business
Administration in finance from the University of
Chicago.
